Below are the current limitations and known issues related to credit card onboarding and transaction tracking on Fold:
- We don't support transactions where the bank does not send email alerts such as EMI, interest charges, refunds, reversals etc.
- When you link your credit card to Fold, we only fetch transactions starting from your last statement date, not older historical transactions. For example, if your statement date is 20 Oct and you onboard on 24 Oct, we fetch from 20 Oct onwards. This may be improved in the future.
- Multi-cards / add-on cards (two cards sharing the same limit with a single monthly statement) are not supported yet. We currently sync only the primary card and update the spent amount accordingly. Support for add-on cards is in progress.
- UPI transactions are supported only for some credit cards. For RuPay cards, non-UPI transactions should work normally as long as the card is not an add-on card.
- Currently, only Gmail is supported for real-time transaction tracking. We plan to add support for more email providers in the future. If you use Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., you can set up auto-forwarding using this guide.
- You can onboard a new credit card if you have received a recent statement via email in the last six months (180 days).
- If your card is new and you haven’t received your first statement yet, you will need to wait until it arrives.
- For international transactions, the currency conversion rate shown in Fold may be different than what your bank charges. However the final outstanding remains consistent.
-
iOS widgets are empty. This is an OS-level issue and not something we can fix from our end. Try the following steps to fix the issue:
- Check that you are using the latest Fold version.
- Quit the Fold app via the app switcher, and then relaunch the app.
- As a last resort, remove the widgets, and restart the device. Now add the widgets back.
We will be fixing all the above issues in the coming months. You can check the upcoming credit card tracking features here.
