1. General Investment Tracking & Performance
Trade Settlement Timelines
Your holdings and transaction data are fetched directly from central depositories, which update records only after trades are officially settled.
- Settlement Cycle: Most stock and ETF trades settle on a T+1 timeline (one business day after the trade date).
- Example: If you buy shares on Monday, the trade settles on Tuesday. The updated holdings will appear in Fold after the Tuesday evening data refresh.
Historical Transactions
Fold fetches and displays your current portfolio holdings up to date. However, transaction history is limited to activity within the last 1 year. Transactions older than one year will not be displayed.
Purchase and Sale Price Data
Fold currently receives details about your active holdings and the number of shares bought or sold. Full support for average purchase price, cost basis, and sale price tracking will be introduced as soon as central data providers make this information accessible.
Sold Investments Still Appearing
If you have sold 100% of an investment but it still appears in your active holdings list, you can resolve this by reconnecting the account:
- Tap your display picture in the app to go to Profile.
- Select Investment and tap Stocks & ETF.
- Select Disconnect this account.
- Go back to Investment, tap the + icon, and reconnect your account.
2. Known Issues & Instructions by Asset Class
Stocks & Stock ETFs
- Supported Assets: We support standard equity holdings and stock ETFs.
- REITs & InvITs: Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) are currently not fetched. Support for these will be added in a future update.
Mutual Funds (via MF Central)
- Server Latency: Mutual fund data is fetched via MF Central. During peak hours, MF Central may experience traffic congestion or temporary downtime.
- Troubleshooting: If your mutual fund refresh is taking a very long time or fails, please try refreshing again at a different time or on the following day.
National Pension System (NPS)
- Account Type Coverage: Only individual (self) NPS accounts can be linked. Government-linked and corporate-linked NPS accounts are currently not supported.
- CRA Provider Status: Systems for Protean and KFintech (CAMS CRA) are live, though CAMS CRA may occasionally experience connectivity downtime.
- Processing Delays: Unit allocations and data updates can take 1 to 2 working days to reflect post-investment. Additionally, Mutual Fund Scheme (MFS) holdings under NPS may not be accurately reflected at this time.
Employee Provident Fund (EPF)
- EPFO Portal Dependencies: Account discovery, linking, and data syncing rely entirely on the government EPFO portal. If the EPFO website is offline or experiencing server issues, syncing will fail on Fold.
- Verification Step: To check if the issue is with the portal, attempt to log in directly to the official EPFO Member Passbook Portal. If you cannot log in on the official portal, Fold will be unable to fetch your data until EPFO restores service.
Fixed Deposits (FD) & Provident Fund (PF)
- Manual Tracking: FDs and PFs currently require manual entry. Automated syncing for Fixed Deposits via the Account Aggregator (AA) network is under development.
