Currently, we only support linking your Gmail account to provide access to your credit card statement and transaction-related emails. However, since we only offer the option to link one Google account, setting up auto-forwarding of emails within Gmail would help us tackle the issue of having your credit card-related emails on multiple accounts. Here is how you can set it up:
Forwarding within Gmail:
- Log in to Gmail, click on the settings icon in the top right corner of the page, and then click on "See all settings".
- Go to the "Filters and blocked addresses" tab and click on "Create a new filter".
- Provide the conditions you want for the filter. In this case, you can choose to filter using the bank's sender email (e.g., ICICI bank sends emails from credit_cards@icicibank.com) or using the subject filter (e.g., ICICI bank statement emails always contain "ICICI Bank Credit Card Statement" and transaction emails always contain "Transaction alert for your ICICI Bank Credit Card"). However, we suggest filtering by sender email because email subjects are bound to change!
- After entering the conditions, click on "Create filter" (you can also click on "Search" to see if all necessary emails are showing up for the given conditions).
- Make sure you have a secondary Gmail account—this is the account where we want all our emails to pool in, something that you can give access to Fold.
- In the next step, after clicking on "Create filter", choose the "Forward it to" option and select your secondary email address. If you don't have any saved, then click on "Add forwarding address" and Gmail will guide you to link a forwarding email address. This will involve a verification process as well.
- Now click on "Create filter" and complete any verification if applicable.
Once completed, you're all set!
